Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern Lights rodeo secures commitment to of Josh Dobbins; a 5’8″ Bronc Rider who comes to Northern by way the College of Southern Idaho (CSI).
Dobbins, a native of Pocatello, ID, was a rough stock team captain at CSI where he competed for two years in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Head coach of Lights Rodeo Doug Kellenburger says Dobbins brings experience to the team in an important event. “Josh is a great addition to our rodeo program. Josh is a whale of a saddle bronc rider. We’re excited to have Josh, I think he can add that missing link on the rough stock end that we’re missing on our men’s team. We’re excited to have some upper classman leadership and a been there done that type of a guy.”
In High School Dobbins was a three time all state qualifier and a two-time qualifier for the Rocky Mountain Professional Rodeo Association in saddle bronc riding. Josh said he chose Northern because of its electrician program and being able to compete in rodeo at a high level.
