(NMB) The official opening of the College Wresting season is this Friday night when North Idaho College visits the armory gym for a dual against the 2022/2023 version of the Lights. Head Coach of the Lights Tyson Thivierge wants his team to be the aggressor Friday Night,
“To me, it’s about our guys going out there, imposing their will, scoring points and taking care of themselves individually and the team stuff will take care of itself.”
Coach Thivierge knows the season will go quick and every opportunity for his guys to get on the mat is an opportunity to grow and get better.
“Every opportunity is a chance to get better. We’re just going to take it one match at a time. We’re not looking too far ahead in the future. We’re going to hit North Idaho Friday night, figure out what w need to work on, fix it and move forward.”
The Lights versus North Idaho Wrestling dual gets underway at 7pm Friday night. This will be the only opportunity to see the lights at home for a while. They’ve got trips to Powell, Wyoming, Fargo, Great Falls, Spokane, Ashland, Oregon, Reno, Dickinson and Marshall, Missouri before returning home February 3rd.
