Man Arrested after Allegedly Burglarizing Police Officer’s Home

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a man on several charges after allegedly burglarizing a Chinook Police Offier’s home.

Terry Sandcrane, Jr., 24, is facing pending charges of burglary, theft, and obstructing a Peace Officer or other Public Servant.

According to a press release, on April 15th, Blaine County Sheriff’s Deputies made contact with an intoxicated male, who was later identified as Sandcrane.

Sandcrane was walking eastbound out of Chinook when he asked a Deputy for a ride to Harlem.

When the Deputy asked for his name, Sandcrane refused to provide it and began walking back to Chinook.

When another Deputy approached him a short time later, he pulled a Chinook Police Department badge from his coat pocket.

Law enforcement then tried to take Sandcrane into custody, but they allege that he resisted and was forcibly taken to the ground.

Sandcrane was then searched, and other items were found that belonged to a Chinook PD Officer.

Through the ensuing investigation, it was determined that he had entered the Officer’s home without permission earlier in the evening while he was on duty and took numerous items.
