FLATHEAD COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect was arrested on Thursday following a manhunt.
Buckaroo Bennie Gardner had multiple felony warrants for his arrest when he was spotted in a vehicle on Conrad Drive Thursday. The suspect fled from authorities in his vehicle and drove through farmland before his vehicle became disabled.
A manhunt ensued and the suspect was arrested in a nearby swamp after submerging himself in water and thick vegetation in an abandoned duck blind. He was booked on his warrants and new charges.
Numerous agencies were a part of the manhunt, including the Montana Highway Patrol, Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the U.S. Forest Service, and local deputies.
