GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – The Great Falls Police Department says a man is facing six pending felonies after allegedly shooting at several people and injuring one.
Jacob Sims is facing five counts of attempted deliberate homicide and one count of assault with a weapon. He is in the Cascade County Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
Great Falls Police were dispatched outside of a business on the 600 block of 3rd Avenue Northwest at around 7:40 PM Friday night after receiving a report of shots fired.
A press release alleges that one man was shot on 3rd Avenue Northwest and there were two reports of shots fired on 10th Avenue South – one near 11th Street, and one near 38th Street.
The male shot on 3rd Avenue Northwest was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Sims is also believed to have shot and and struck a vehicle occupied by a family of four, but none of the occupants were injured.
