JUDITH BASIN COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 48-year-old woman from Clearbrook, Minnesota was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Judith Basin County on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at about 9:20 AM. The woman was the lone passenger in a 2011 GMC Sierra being driven by a 40-year-old man from Clearbrook, Minnesota at mile marker 31.5 of US 87. The Sierra was towing a utility trailer and was traveling westbound when it entered the oncoming lane. A 2022 Volvo Tractor Trailer being driven by a 51-year-old man from West Palm Beach, Florida, was traveling eastbound and was unable to avoid the GMC.
The vehicles collided in the eastbound lane. The occupants of the GMC were not wearing seatbelts. The driver was injured and transported to a hospital, while the passenger was deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Volvo was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
The road was snow covered at the time.
