HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Last week, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks released new rules to help prevent non-native plants, animals or pathogens from entering Montana.
With these new rules, all nonresident anglers will be required to purchase an Angler Aquatic Invasive Spieces Prevention Pass (AISPP) but will only have to pay $7.50 instead of 2019’s $15 fee.
For nonresidents boaters, a $30 fee will be charged for out-of-state licensed watercraft, a $10 fee will be charged for non-motorized watercraft and all watercraft owners must purchase a Vessel AISPP online. Lastly, all Watercraft must first be inspected before any launch is made.
These rules only apply to active nonresidential boaters and anglers in Montana and do not apply to those just towing equipment through the state.
