Montana High School State Softball Tournament Action Continues On Friday

The Montana High School Association State Softball Tournament continued on Friday. A champion will be crowned in each of the three divisions on Saturday afternoon.

In ‘AA’ Action in Butte, Billings Senior High School has advanced to the Championship by defeating both Helena Capital, and Great Falls High. Billings West High, and Great Falls are still alive in the chase for the title. They will face off on Saturday in the third place game with a chance to advance to the championship series against Billings Senior.

At the ‘A’ Tournament in Polson, Belgrade, and Hamilton Darby have advanced to the semi finals by staying unbeaten in tournament play. Belgrade defeated Frenchtown Alberton 3-1, and Hamilton Darby snuck by Polson by a final of 2-1. The winner of that match up will face the winner of the 3rd place game from the losers bracket in the championship series.

Action at the ‘B/C’ Tournament in Belgrade saw Huntley Project advance to the championship by defeating both Florence-Carlton, and Plains Hot Springs. Florence-Carlton, and Plains Hot Springs will play in the third place game Saturday with a berth into the championship series on the line.
