Montana recognized as 4th least regulated state in Mercatus Center ranking.

(Keller Sherman) A report from the nationally recognized Mercatus Center at George Mason University has ranked Montana as one of the least regulated states in the nation.

The report lists Montana as the fourth least regulated in the nation only behind three states, all of which border Montana. These are North Dakota, South Dakota, and Idaho. The list highlighted Montana’s efforts to cut regulations.

“In Montana, we’ve been focused on cutting red tape to help more Montanans prosper by removing unnecessary, burdensome regulations” Governor Greg Gianforte said. “The results of our efforts are clear as Montana leads the nation in wage and job growth despite historic inflation brought about by the Biden-Harris administration.”
