Montana Reports Nearly 2,000 COVID Cases Monday

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – 1,939 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services dashboard update on Monday morning, the first update since Friday morning.

Gallatin County once again led the state, this time reporting 694 new cases of the virus. Missoula County was next with 299, followed by Yellowstone with 159, Cascade with 137, Flathead with 136, and Lewis and Clark with 135.

Both Gallatin and Missoula Counties are now posting their highest 7-day average case rates since the pandemic began.

The active case count in the state is up over 7,713, with 154 active hospitalizations.
