Montana unemployment stays stagnant as national joblessness rises.

(Montana) Governor Greg Gianforte’s office announced Friday that Montana’s unemployment rate remained steady from May to June at 3.1%.

The governor’s office reported the national average for the same time period rose to 4.1% while Montana saw no increases.

Around 1,600 new jobs were noted in Montana during the month of June with Professional and Business Services, along with healthcare and transportation, being the greatest contributors to the growth.
