FERGUS COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – A 17-year-old male from Moore was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Fergus County on Sunday evening.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 8:30 PM, when the teenager was driving a Subaru Outback northbound on Trout Creek Road near Moore. The driver failed to negotiate a 90-degree right hand turn and continued straight through the T intersection with Sipple Road, left the roadway and collided with an embankment.
The Outback overturned and came to rest on the driver’s side.
The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and excessive speed is a suspected factor.
It is not clear if he was wearing a seatbelt.
The road was clear and dry.
