The list at Montana State University’s Hall of Fame got bigger on Wednesday morning. Nine persons made up of former players, coaches, and administrators are set to be enshrined for the 2024 class. Three names associated with the Hi-Line will take their place amongst the most famous Bobcats of all-time.
Former Havre high school football and track coach Butch Damberger, who played tight end on the Bobcats football team from 1976-79, was chosen as one of the recipients.
He will be joined by Kim Berg, who locals know as the Hill County Public Health Director. However, people from Bozeman will remember her for the track and field accolades she collected from 2003-2007.
Finally, longtime MSU radio analyst Dan Davies was chosen as a Hall of Famer by his alma mater. The Chinook native’s legacy in Bozeman has been documented for almost 50 years, from football player to football assistant to the first golf coach in school history to most recently an administrator from 1988-2021.
The three individuals just mentioned along with six others will be honored in a Jan. 19 ceremony in Bozeman, just ahead of the basketball doubleheader between the Cats and Griz at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
