(Havre) A professor at MSU Northern in Havre was the recent beneficiary of a grant to fund research in the middle east.
Dr. Kyra Kaercher, Assistant Professor of Biology and General Science was recently awarded a grant of six thousand dollars to fund the gathering and studying of clay samples across the Ebril Plain in Iraqi Kurdistan.
The goal of this research is to reach a better understanding of ceramics production and distribution in the region, said MSU N in a press release. They continue, saying that this project is meant to “address a significant gap in existing research methodologies.”
This grant adds onto Kaerchers storied grant history, with her research already the beneficiary of some 25 thousand dollars spread across a total of twelve grants.
