Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern and head coach Chris Mouat’s Skylights basketball program previously announced the signing of Malta senior Neva Jacobson.
Jacobson stands at 5’9″ and can play multiple positions for the Skylights. Neva was a critical piece for the M’ettes who finished as the class B State runner ups this season.
Coach Mouat says he loves the toughness and versatility that she will bring to the program. “What I love is her toughness. She is competitive and shoots the ball a lot better than I gave her credit for. I think the other think is she can play a number of positions; She can run a point guard spot, and she can definitely be a two or a three. I think she is pretty versatile and those are all things we are excited about.” said coach Muat.
In her senior year at Malta Jacobson averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals per game. Neva shot 49 percent from the field and has scored over 1,000 points in her high school Career.
Neva plans to major in Integrated Health Science in her time as a Skylight.
