HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) ― The Montana State University-Northern Alumni Foundation hosted their 90th Celebration Gala Feb. 15 and raised more money than last year’s event despite the lighter turnout.
Alumni Foundation Executive Director Shantel Cronk says they raised $52,000 which is $2,000 more than their original goal.
“BNSF did a matching gift where if we received pledges they would match up to $10,000 but then through our games and silent auctions and everything like that, we actually exceeded our goal and hit $52,000. So, we are really really happy with how that went.”
Cronk says they had a wonderful crowd at the event and the money raised will go towards two different scholarships – the Montana Access Scholarship and the We Love MSU -Northern Scholarship.
