Havre, MT – Friday July 17, Montana State University-Northern athletics announced their 2026 Hall of Fame Class.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday, September 4, and they will each be recognized during halftime of MSU-Northern football’s first home game against Montana Western on Saturday, September 5.
The first inductee we will highlight is former athletic trainer from 2001-2014 and current athletic director Christian Oberquell. In his time years of work in the athletic department MSU-Northern Athletics saw lots of success both in competition and in the classroom.
Oberquell has been recognized with a Frontier Conference Athletic Director of the year award and MSU-Northern Golden N Award. He also spent time on the NAIA Administrative Council and Executive Committee.
This year’s class features six athletes and or staff members who left a lasting impact on Northern Lights and Skylights athletics. Stay tuned to New Media Broadcasters stations and website for all six inductees.
