MSU-Northern PAS Club Helps with Reads and Feeds

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Agribusiness Committee of the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce recently read and introduced eighteen new agricultural-themed books to seven classes of first graders at Highland Park School. A press release says committee members teamed up for the reading with Professional Agricultural Students Club Members from Montana State University-Northern. The first grade students were also offered chocolate milk and graham crackers and informed about the many contribution agriculture provides them in the world.

This is the ninth year the Agribusiness Committee has conducted the “Read & Feed.” They usually schedule the event around National Agriculture Week and the first day of spring. Over the years, the Agribusiness Committee has donated bout $2,400 to the elementary school for the purchase of around 150 agricultural-themed, early elementary books for use in their school library.
