New Look Frontier Football Conference

(NMB) When the 2025 Frontier Conference football schedule kicks off in late August, things will look a lot different. With the announcement of expansion earlier this year, the conference now has 14 football playing schools and will be divided into two divisions, East and West. The Lights of Montana State University Northern will be in the East division along with Dakota State University, Dickinson State, Mayville State, Montana Tech, Rocky and Valley City State.

The West Division will include Arizona Christian, Carroll College, College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Simpson, Southern Oregon and Montana Western.

With expansion and the two divisions the Frontier Conference will now get two automatic bids to the NAIA playoffs. The best six game record within each division will claim the automatic bid.

The Lights will open the football season at home on August 30th against Carroll College at Tilleman Field and will also have home games vs Dickinson State, Eastern Oregon, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College and Valley City State
