Havre, MT – With Lights Football just over two weeks away, the non-conference schedule poses tough challenge for Montana State University-Northern.
With the expanded Frontier Conference and the creation of East and West divisions MSU-Northern football’s non-conference schedule has turned into non-division schedule.
Head coach of Lights football Jerome Souers details what the first four games hold in store for his program. “You know our non-conference starts with a lot of playoff guys. you know Carrol, Western (Montana), College of Idaho and Dickinson, that’s our non-conference first four so we’re going find out right away where we’re at.” Sours said.
Souers continued to say what he thinks those games can get his players ready. “The big push right now is to getting our guys into the mold of what we are trying to do, and finessing that and getting as good as can in the first game but we have to be a team that continues to grow throughout the schedule.”
Coach Souers and his staff prepare to kick off the season at home against Carroll College August 30th.
