North Star Schools Pass 2 Levies this Year

NORTH STAR, Mont. (NMB) – On Tuesday, the North Star School District held their 2019 elections. There were two levies on the ballot, one for the high school’s general fund and one for the elementary’s general fund. Both levies were overwhelmingly passed. These results are unofficial.

The high school levy will increase taxes on a $100,000 home by about $1.82 and on a $200,000 home by about $3.65. This levy passed 257 to 56.

The elementary school levy will increase taxes on a $100,000 home by about $2.16 and on a $200,000 home by about $4.32. This levy passed 253 to 57.

Both levies were for the maintaining and operating of the schools for next school year.
