Northern Basketball’s Reardon Named Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week

The Frontier Conference announced on Monday its basketball offensive and defensive player of the week awards. MSU-Northern’s Jack Reardon was the winner for the offensive side, his first career achievement since transferring before the start of this season.

In an (88-72) victory at home over St. Mary’s University of Calgary on Saturday, the 6-foot-3 senior from Munster, IN, lit up the scoreboard with 27 points, shooting 9-for-14 along with the way. He also went 7-of-8 from the free throw line.

Reardon was able to snap out of his own personal skid, having only combined for nine points in the Lights’ previous three games. His point total from this past week was a career-high and the first time he cracked double-digit scoring since the Eastern Oregon game one month ago, scoring 19 points.

The Lights officially picked up their second win of the season and in turn snapped a six-game losing streak on the court. Northern basketball is off this week from competition and will get ready to play in Arizona for a tournament next week.
