In the Girl’s Loser Out game, Chinook challenged Cascade in a lunchtime competition with fierce plays from both teams. At the half Chinook nearly doubled the spread with the score at 32-17. Once the third half finished Chinook cinched a win over Cascade with the final score, 62-30.
The four o’ clock game between Chinook and Roy-Winifred with the boy’s squad was just as fierce. The opening quarter was nearly even but by the half Roy-Winifred took charge with a 24 to 14 lead. By the fourth frame Chinook looked like they had a chance but Roy-Winifred held their ground and garnered the win over Chinook, 53 to 44.
The 7:30 PM girl’s game between Fort Benton and Roy-Winifred started out with low scores for both teams but at the break Roy-Winifred charged forward. By the end of the game Roy-Winifred forged a gap in the lead too large for Fort Benton to cross, with the final score, 59 to 23.
The final game Friday night between Box Elder and Belt girl’s teams was a evenly matched event with both teams swapping the lead at least once by the half. The third quarter started with the score of Box Elder leading Belt by one possession, 21-18.
