MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball was swept at Providence on Thursday night, (18-25, 21-25, 19-25). The match was competitive throughout, but the Argos were able to string together points late in each set to get over the hump.
Northern only had a hitting percentage of .112 compared to Providence’s .261, but were competitive in kills, (37-41) and assists, (35-38). Macee Murphy led the way in kills with 12 on the night, while Alana Graves chipped in 10. Graves also had a team-high four blocks. Murphy and Emily Feller combined for 35 assists, while Baily Egan provided 17 digs to keep the Skylights alive in points.
Northern (11-15, 3-11 in the Frontier Conference) has one more regular season match for the 2024 campaign. The team will travel to Helena to face Carroll on Saturday at 2pm.
