The Havre Northstars’ miracle run in the 2024 North ‘A’ District tournament came to an end late Sunday morning in the semifinals. The visitors would lose to the host Lethbridge Miners by the final score of (10-0).
Shortstop Ezra Pyle led the team with two of the five Northstars hits, including a double in the first inning, However, Havre couldn’t overcome giving up a six-spot to Lethbridge in the bottom of the first inning.
With the conclusion of the tournament, Havre finished with a (29-23) overall record during 2024 and was third in the North ‘A’ conference regular season. The team only loses one senior, albeit an important one in all-conference player Terek Shipp, but will have a deep senior core coming back next year and tons of experience from underclassmen continuing to improve at American Legion Park.
