HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – One person was injured on Friday afternoon after a car and a semi-truck collided on US Highway 2 near Havre.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Matt Erickson said that an adult female crossed the center line while driving distracted and not wearing a seatbelt, going westbound and hit an eastbound semi. The Chevy Cavalier was totaled and the semi-truck experienced minor damage. The female driver in her 30’s was transported to the hospital. The crash happened just north of the airport near Havre.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors in the crash, but distracted driving was.
