(Kalispell) – Portions of the Flathead and Clark Fork rivers in Sanders County are reopened after being closed due to fire danger. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is also reopening Kookoosint Fishing Access Site, Paradise Crossing Fishing Access Site, and Full Curl Wildlife Management Area south of Plains on Montana Highway 200.
FWP previously closed the stretches of rivers and access sites due to the River Road East fire. While conditions have improved, the fire continues to burn in the area, and recreationists are urged to be aware of fire conditions and weather.
