HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana State University Extension Office and Humanities Montana will be hosting the Montana Racial Equity Project, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that advocates equity and justice for historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed peoples in Montana.
The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 22nd in Havre at the Best Western Plus Great Northern Inn. The workshop, called “Racism and What to Do About It” will take place from 9 AM to 1 PM.
The fee for the workshop is $50, but there are half scholarships available. Attendance is limited to 20 people and you must register by Monday, June 17th. To register, email info@themtrep.org. You can also email them if you need a scholarship, before you register, and they will provide you with a code.
Topics that will be covered include: terminology, microaggressions, stereotypes, and cultural appreciation.
