Safety Committee sees Hill County receive $51k check.

(Havre) The Hill County Safety Committee met on October 22nd for their monthly meeting.

During this meeting it was announced that the county was receiving a 26% return on their insurance premium due to the low amount of injury claims made by county employees, and a check was read for over 51 thousand dollars.

New Media Broadcasters spoke with Commissioner Mark Peterson to ask about the county’s plans for the funds.

“Some of the things that we hope to do with it is to help promote a safety fair, to do more safety training to make safety awareness not only for the employees but also for the tax payers in this county. Then, some of this may go to help us pay for insurance in the future”

Peterson says that he primarily thanks the employees of Hill County for this return, as it was their implantation of safety habits that allowed for it in the first place.
