Salvation Army Exceed Red Kettle Goal

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign exceeded their goal for this season and raised nearly $31,000. Director of the Havre Service Center, Trina Crawford says that about a week before their campaign ended, they were about $10,000 behind their $28,000 goal. A big part of that was getting volunteers to ring the bells.

“Some of the challenges is filling every single slot. If we can fill every single slot, the money comes in. I had a gal come that came forward to help me and she worked super hard, making sure that every single slot was filled. And through her effort and through people’s willingness to ring the bells and volunteer, it was totally amazing how it came about.”

Crawford says they were also able to provide Christmas gifts for 48 kids through their Giving Tree program and helped 9 families through their Adopt-A-Family program.
