USDA Food System Analysis Tool Upgrades and Webinar

The United States Department of Agriculture says, an updated interactive tool designed to help communities analyze and strengthen their local food systems will be featured in an upcoming webinar. The Food and Agriculture Mapper and Explorer, known as FAME 2.0, aggregates data from dozens of public sources into a single platform.

During the session, organizers will demonstrate how users can navigate local food conditions, generate data visualizations, and compare agriculture, economic, health, and community indicators across different counties and states. The platform is designed to assist communities with planning, research, grant writing, and development efforts.

The introductory webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21st, at Noon Mountain Time. Registration is open to community organizations, practitioners, and members of the public interested in food system data.
