CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – A Saturday night fire in Chinook left a house burned and one man injured.
Chinook Volunteer Fire Chief Kraig Hansen says his department received a call of a fire at the 900 block of Ohio Street shortly after 9:45 PM. His department, along with Chinook Police and the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.
The fire was put out before midnight, but the back half of the home was completely burned, while the front half suffered significant smoke and heat damage.
One person, a male believed to be in his 50s, was injured in the blaze and transported to the hospital. His condition is not known.
The state Fire Marshall arrived at the scene early Sunday to begin an official investigation into the fire.
