(Great Falls) The MSU Northern Skylight volleyball team was knocked out of the Frontier Conference Tournament on Friday. Northern lost a tightly contested 5 set match to the Montana Western Bulldogs 3 sets to 2. (25-13, 17-25, 26-24, 11-25 and 8-15)
In set one the Skylights jumped out to a 10 to 2 lead and won set one 25-13. In set 2, the Bulldogs went on a late 12 to 6 run and won set two 25-17. The third set was a battle until the very end as Alana Graves and Lexa Stock got the last two kills of the set and the Skylight won 26-24. The Bulldogs controlled sets four and five and eventually won the five set match.
In the match the Skylights were led by Alana Graves who had 20 kills, Lexa Stock added 15. Baily Egan led the team in digs with 33 and Macee Murphy had 31 assists.
With the loss of Friday, the Skylights volleyball season came an end. They finished the season 12 and 14 overall and 4 and 6 in Frontier Conference play.
