Sounds on the Square Kicks Off Next Wednesday in Havre

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Sounds on the Square summer music series will kick off next Wednesday, June 12th at the Town Square in Havre. Havre area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Jodi Olsen says this free, family-friendly event takes place all summer long. Their first band this year is the Milk River Band.

“Sounds on the Square will start June 12th and that will go through August 14th. And that’s every Wednesday night from 6 to 8 over in the Town Square. So, a lot of fun bands. I know I really enjoy that one, just sitting outside. You know, hopefully we’ve got some good weather for that, too.”

Olson encourages people to bring chairs and a picnic dinner.

“That goes all the way through August. So that’s kind of fun. You know, pack up a picnic basket and go sit out there. It’s always, you know, a lot of people from kids to us old people like me that love the old country music. So, yeah. That’s always fun. I think that’s a fun one.”

On June 19th, the ROC Band will perform, followed by Plowed Under on June 26th and Stevie Nixon on July 3rd. Their last show will be on August 14th with Blind Luck. A full line-up can be found on our website, HiLineToday.com.
