(Havre) The Havre Sunnyside Intermediate School has one staff member holding a localized competition to promote reading in the students there.
Sunnyside Librarian Jade Miller is challenging 12 local businesses to go head-to-head with 4th and 5th graders to see who can read more books over the course of 10 days.
“That first week of March is read across America week, and I was hoping that it would shine a little bit of light on that not only for our students but for the community as well”
The competition is set to take place from February 24th to March 5th, with the winner being announced on March 6th. Interested businesses are encouraged to contact Sunnyside Intermediate School.
