Sweet Medical Center to Offer In-Depth Virtual Appointments With Handheld Kit

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Sweet Medical Centers throughout eastern Montana including those in Chinook and Harlem are now offering a brand-new telehealth service that provides thorough virtual medical examinations for patients.

Sweet Medical Center CEO Dr. David Mark said, “In addition to offering live video conferencing visits, the technology we have chosen to use can also be paired with a kit of medical devices to expand our diagnosis capabilities. These handheld kits work with your smart phone or tablet and allow for a more in-depth guided medical exam. We can offer a diagnosis, treatment plan and prescription if needed.”

This handheld kit is called a TytoCare kit and has the ability to assess heart, lungs, throat, ears, skin, abdomen, heart rate and body temperature. It also can diagnose and treat patients who have the flu, a cold or conditions similar.

Mark said, “Our use of telehealth platform is keeping our patients and staff safe and healthy. With the emergency of COVID-19, we’ve dedicated licensed healthcare providers to delivering virtual care.”

This program was launched Tuesday, May 20 and is for individuals who need a thorough primary care or behavioral health appointment with a licensed health care provider.
