
HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Agriculture has announced an investment of $2.2 million in funding has been awarded through the Montana Noxious Weed Trust Fund grant program.
Over 70 Montana counties, tribes, conservation districts, local communities, and educators were awarded funds to develop and implement noxious weed management programs across Montana.
Two of the grants will be helping the Hi-Line.
The Hill County Weed District had a request approved for $10,000 towards noxious weed treatment in the Sage Creek area.
The Liberty County Weed District will be receiving $16,296 towards managing weeds in the Sweet Grass Hills.
Applications for 2023 Noxious Weed Trust Fund grants will be available in mid-July.
