Havre, MT – Montana State University-Northern spring football concluded in May but there was a lasting impact on the team and coaches about the new offensive system.
Lights defensive coordinator Dylan Wampler spoke to what excited him the most about the team after spring practices concluded.
“It’s the new coaches and the new offense. It was nice to have a spring ball where it wasn’t defense leading the way the entire time.” Coach Wampler stated
“Offense had their days defense had their teeth kicked in a couple of days and that’s something that hasn’t happened in a while. It’s been great for the guys on defense to see it and I think it’s brought up everyone’s moral, and the guys are itching to come back.”
The new offensive coordinator in command is Sid Krishnamurthi, or Coach K, who people around the team say has brought a new energy to the program.
The lights offense averaged under 10 points per game last season and will open the year looking to avenge a 20-0 shutout from last season at Carroll College on August 27. Kickoff is set for 6p.m. and you can tune in on your home of MSU-Northern Lights and Skylight sports KPQX and Hilinetoday.com.
