Wednesday Fire Training Will Cause Smoke near Havre

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Wednesday, May 15th, a few area fire departments will be participating in a live wildfire training at the US Bank Park on 11th Street, across from Montana State University-Northern.

The park will be blocked off from 1 to 8 PM that day and there is likely to be smoke in the air due to the training. The Havre Fire Department wants to remind people that there will be no unattended fires in the park.

Assistant Fire Chief Kelly Jones says that the DNRC out of Lewistown is helping with the training and at least three local fire departments will be participating.
