YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Mont. (NMB) – Yellowstone National Park has announced the lifting of fishing closures on rivers and streams in the Park.
The closure was issued back on July 24th due to high water temperatures and unprecedented low stream flows, which made conditions stressful and even fatal for trout.
However, conditions have since improved, and anglers can resume fishing from sunrise to sunset on park rivers and streams. Water temperatures are now well below thermal thresholds for trout and flows are returning to long-term averages.
The closure was in effect daily from 2 PM to sunset.
