HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Saturday Dec. 7 from 1-4 pm, Havre Beneath the Streets will once again be hosting their Holiday Spirit Stoll.
Christy Owens, Office Manager for Beneath the Streets, says this event will feature treats and family-friendly activities.
“We’ll have some fun things kind of going on down there. Some treats and snacks and get some hot cider while you’re down there as well. And we’re working on trying to do a fun scavenger hunt for the kids. Something super easy and fun that the kids like to do.”
Also on Dec. 7, there will be a special run of trains at the Havre Railway Museum from noon to 6 pm. This event is in honor of the late Eldon Mooney, who donated hundreds of hours to both Beneath the Streets and the Havre Railway Museum.
“Just highlighting some of the trains he liked to run,” Owens says. “They are going to be having different trains running down there and it’ll give everyone an opportunity to check out the train layout that’s in the railway museum in the basement that’s not normally open on a regular basis.”
All displays will be festively decorated by volunteers and there will be museum staff available to answer questions. Admission to the Spirit Stroll is $5 for adults and $3 for kids.
