Around 70 local residents attended the Service, which featured a 21 gun-salute, names being read of local Veterans who gave their lives for their country, and the laying of wreaths at the Memorial on the Courthouse lawn.
Dena Rudio performed The Star Spangled Banner, while local Boy Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The service concluded with a benediction.
In addition to the service, American flags were placed over the weekend next to Veterans’ gravestones at Highland Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, the free-will donation luncheon that is typically held at the Elks Club following the service did not take place.
