GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking public input on an environmental assessment for a proposed conservation easement on approximately 1,733 acres near Denton.
The proposal is called the Everson Bench Conservation Easement, which FWP says will protect and conserve in perpetuity mixed agricultural lands and sagebrush-grassland habitat adjoining the Coffee and Arrow Breaks in deer/elk hunting district 426. It would serve as a gateway to around 9,000 acres of inaccessible public lands.
The comment period for the proposed easement runs through November 25th.
The EA document can be seen on the FWP website.
Written comments can be submitted to FWP at 333 Airport Road, Lewistown, Mt, 59456.
