HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Last weeks snow has finally dropped enough powder on the Bear’s Paw Mountains south of Havre to begin work on .jpg)
opening Bear Paw Ski Bowl for the year. President of the Snowdance Ski Association Claire Stoner says they still have some work to do and hope to open the ski hill soon.
Stoner says it’s a matter of getting enough volunteers, who have their own jobs, out on to the mountain to finish things like maintenance or grooming.
At the end of 2018, Bear Paw Ski Bowl received donations of hundreds of skis, snowboards and other gear and set up a rental shop in the Creative Leisure building in Havre, but they do not have regular hours set yet.
