HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Early Tuesday morning, the Havre Fire Department received a call about a structure fire on the north side of town.
Havre Fire Chief Mel Paulson says the call came in at about 3:30 AM and they quickly got the blaze under control. It took about an hour to completely extinguish the fire at the single family residence.
Paulson says that the family was home at the time the fire started, but they were able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.
There was extensive water and smoke damage to the home and Paulson says it’s probably totaled. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and is under investigation.
