MISSOULA, Mont. (NMB) – The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office says that a deputy fatally shot a man on Sunday night after he allegedly swung a machete and made lethal threats.
A press release says the Deputies were unable to deescalate the situation after responding to a reported disturbance at 5:30 PM. The release says the suspect was shot by law enforcement after refusing to comply with commands.
The suspect succumbed to his injuries after being airlifted to a hospital for advanced medical care.
No other information has been released.
The investigation will be conducted by the Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation
