HAYS, Mont. (NMB) – The Hays-Lodgepole School District has announced that in-person learning has been canceled for the rest of the week, with the scheduled return of classes set for Monday, September 13th.
The District says the closure is due to COVID-19 issues resulting in contact tracing, positive cases and orders from Disaster and Emergency Services.
Sports practices for the week are canceled and games are being rescheduled.
The District is urging all students to get a COVID-19 test before returning to school.
This comes as the Fort Belknap Reservation reported 11 new COVID-19 cases between Saturday and Tuesday. It is unclear how many of those cases are associated with the school district.
