HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – In a press release on Monday morning, Havre Public Schools Superintendent Craig Mueller announced that Dustin Kraske will be the new Principal for Havre High School, effective for the 2022-2023 school year.
Kraske is currently the Principal of Havre Middle School. Kraske’s transition to the new role will take place over the summer.
In the release, Mueller said Kraske “is a leader who has dedicated his professional career to the students, parents, and community of Havre,” and has shown “the ability to form positive relationships with stakeholders, and to work with staff to find solutions to issues with a student-centered mindset.”
Havre High School’s previous Principal, Ed Norman, resigned in late 2021. He had been placed on administrative leave while an investigation was conducted into allegations that the High School’s administrative response was insufficient after a student came to school covered in black paint on the Friday before Halloween.
M. Thomas Vail was appointed by the School Board earlier this year to serve as interim Havre High School Principal.
