HAVRE (NMB)-The annual “Fill the Boot” Muscular Dystrophy drive and fundraiser is today in Havre between 3rd and fourth avenue on US-2 in front of Town Square.
Havre Fire District 1 Driver-Operator Brayden Dieziger has been involved with Fill the Boot for three years, and says boots will be positioned at stoplights for the public to donate.
“When people drive by and when they are at the stops, and we’ll come out and ask if they would like to donate. They can drop in any amount of money or they can Venmo us at @Havre-Firefighter using their Venmo.”
Volunteers for this fundraiser will be collecting donations from 8AM to 4PM. Dieziger says any amount is welcome.
“Our goal is to raise any type of money. Last year we raised $10,700 and I guess we are looking to match or beat that.”
The public can also walk up and give, if they want. Money raised goes to the national muscular dystrophy association fund to fund research.
