(NMB) The Havre High School Cross County Teams competed in the Capital City 7 of 7 meet on Thursday at the Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena. The Format handicaps each school’s runners in order of ranking on the team. Number one runners on each team compete against each other, twos versus two’s and so on, with a total of 7 varsity races. The Havre girls finished the team competition in 15th place while the boys finished in 26th place. For the Boys Caleb Tomac finished 8th individually in the Number 1 race. Brody Henry and Zack May both finished 23rd in their races. On the girl’s side Hailey Gingery finished 12th in the number one race. All of Havre’s girls, Jayla Meldrum, Paige Anderson, Clara Haslem, Hannah Kinsella, Grace Shandorf and Ariel Ost, finished inside the top 25 in their respective races. Fifty-four teams and more than 1100 runners participated. Havre will run in Malta Saturday.
